The Property of N2, H2 and O2

1.N2 property.

1.At the normal pressure, N2 is colorless, tasteless, odorless gas. The content of N2 in the air is 78.1%. The liquid N2 is also colorless, tasteless, it is lighter than water. It can’t burn in the air, it is inert normally, but under the high temperature and pressure with the catalyst, it will react with cyanide to be ammonia.
2.De-pressure and release electricity can get the active N2. Under the high temperature it can be synthetised to nitride (Mg3N2, Cu3N2 and etc) with metal. Under 1000 C it will react with calcium carbide to be calcium ammonia
3.Micro dissolve to water, alcohol and ether.
4.The molecular weight of N2 is 28.0134, the melt point (triple point, 12.53kPa) is -210.0 C, the liquid density(-210.0 C, 12.534kPa) is 869,5 kg/m3,the heat conductivity coefficient (100kPa,280K) is 0.02447W(M-K)
5.N2 is no-toxic, nonirritant, it is no problem for intaking  
6. Security: N2 need to be stored by the pressure vessels, the liquid nitrogen need to be delivered by the adiabatic vessels or tank cars. N2 is no corrosive, the material of vessels can use carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, copper compound, aluminum and something normal plastic under the normal temperature. As for the liquid nitrogen it can use Ni steel (90% Ni), stainless steel, copper, brass and bronze. At the low temperature, it can use the compound of teflon and PCTFE. When it meets fire blast, N2 can be using for extinguish fire. N2 can be discharged to air.

2.H2 physical property.

1.H2 is colorless, tasteless, odorless gas, at the normal situation (temperature is 0 C, pressure is 101.325kPa) the density is 0.08987g/L, it is 2/29 of air.
2.The molecular of H2 move very fast, so the heat conductivity and spread is very large, the heat conductivity is 7 times than air.
3.The boiling point of H2 is -252.78 C, melting point is -259.24 C.
4.The liquid H2 is transparent, the specific gravity is 0.070g/cm3(-252 C), the solid H2 is snow shape,  the specific gravity is 0.0807g/cm3(-262 C).
5.The burning point of H2 is 574 C, but it is easy to burn out, the little spark can easy to be burning the H2. As the H2 burn, it will appear the wathet flame and generate water, meanwhile more energy to discharge. The formula is: 2H2+02=2H02+572.8KJ. H2 burn requirement (20 C, 101.325Kpa) in air is 4.0-74.5%. The O2 burn requirement (20 C, 101.325Kpa) in air is 4.0-94%.
6.H2 has reducibility, under the high temperature, H2 can take O2, N2, Carbon, phosphorus, sulfur from the compound.  

3.O2 property

1.O2 is colorless, tasteless, odorless gas, the liquid O2 is blue.
2.The molecular weight of O2 is 32.0, the melt point (202.325kPa) is -218.8 C, the boiling point (101.325kpa) is -183.0 C the liquid density(90.18k, 101.325kPa) is 1141 kg/m3,the air density (0 C,101.325kpa) is 1.4289kg/m3, the critical temperature is -118.6 C, the critical pressure is 5043kpa.
3. O2 can’t burn by itself, but it can assist for burning. The O2 is very activity in chemical reaction, it can burn with many kinds of elements.
4.O2 can slight dissolve to water and alcohol.
5.The normal people can’t intake O2 too much or too less. The mor higher pressure of O2 will be uncomfortable.
